CDC recommends 60 minutes of daily moderate to vigorous physical activity, we have enhanced our P.E. program to increase activity time during our daily lessons. We are providing the students with the opportunity to perform at least 30 minutes of activity everyday to help achieve their daily recommended goal. There is significant research showing that children who are more physically active perform better in class. This enhanced P.E. correlates directly to life-long health, cognitive benefits, and makes students more receptive to learning. This is in alignment with the STATE GOAL 20: Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness based upon continual self-assessment.
